Can I Get Some Music Feedback?

I realized I haven't really given everybody an opportunity to hear the music my composer, the fantastic Mr. Russ Howard, has come up with. Give it a listen!

The hallucination music will ultimately end up sounding weirder, once the sound design is done.

Tell me what you think!

Animation Sampler #6

Whoops! Should have posted this yesterday:

I apologize for the mad interlacing. I'll try to figure out how to fix that ASAP.

Animation Sampler #5

More animation! Now with some Big Chicken.

A couple of these are different shots that I animated in the same file, which should explain some of the 'skips'.

Animation 'Sampler' #4

Here's my most recent version of the hallucination sequence, now with some animation, and some yet-to-be animation:

There is also a larger version on Vimeo: http://vimeo.com/36222892

Also, I've found myself a composer! His name is Russ Howard III, and he is a very cool dude. I've already heard a number of his sample works, and they're all great. I think we're going to have a lot of fun.

I should have an updated animatic on the scene soon, so stay tuned.

Animation Sampler #3

Hey all.

Some of the shots I finished this week come one after the other, so I can finally show you an actual sequence:

Over thirty seconds of animation in about a week. Feels good!

The timing isn't necessarily final, but I think it works here. It might need some tweaks once other shots have been put around it. I may also smooth out the transitions between some of the shots, especially the Darby ones.

Now, as of exporting the cut, I noticed a continuity error. I'll fix it later. See if you can spot it!

Animation Sampler #2

Hey! Long time no see!

Sorry for the lack of posts these last couple weeks. I was back home in the Bay Area with the family and didn't have access to After Effects, so I lacked the means to make any of my Flash files internet-friendly.

Here's most, but not all, of the shots I animated over Winter Break:

I think they're looking pretty good! People seem to dig them.

The voice you hear coming out of James is that of mister Kurt Quinn, a fantastic voice actor/regular actor/person. I'm glad I got to work with him. He's cool.

I'll try to get an updated animatic up sometime soon. Now that some of the shots have been animated and some real dialogue is in place, the timing needs to be tweaked, which is actually a surprising amount of work.

Also, I've finally got my tumblr up and running, if you want to see that. It's mostly just drawings and old shorts and stuff: http://cingle.tumblr.com/
